I'm a full-time mummy

One of the reasons why I wanted to add this story app into our collections is because my 4 years old boy is at the age of making friends now (he is still a very shy boy but we can see he's making some effort nowadays) and I thought this is a good opportunity to let him know what is good with having friends around.

What's good?

* It is engaging and interactive and I love that we can also touch the objects in each page on the screen and the words pop out to tell you what it is!

Just My Friend and Me

* I took this opportunity in this story app to teach my boy that when we are done playing toys with our friends, we do have to be responsible in cleaning up the toys and putting everything back into their own place.

* I also explained to my boy that friends are good as we can share our toys and happiness with others and I can actually see my boy sharing more often nowadays with his baby sister so I am looking forward to seeing him applying these sharing traits with other children around him.

I'm a full-time mummy

I have most of the Little Critter story apps on my iPad but really, this is a collection that must be added into my iPad!!! My 4 years old boy likes listening and watching Little Critters so yes, I am definitely happy I get to add this collection! (and I've gotta keep my eyes open for the next collection hahaha!)

What's good?

* It is engaging and interactive and I love that we can also touch the objects in each page on the screen and the words pop out to tell you what it is!

* My boy particularly enjoys 'Just Lost' as he is very much into his security guard / soldier / police phase right now and I love this app too as I get to use the opportunity to teach my boy to stick around us whenever we go out and also to teach him what to do in the event he found himself lost and apart from us.

* In "Just Shopping With Mom", my boy also like this app as I normally bring him and my 1.5 years old girl along whenever we go out grocery shopping and I think he can totally relate himself to Little Critter's situation in the storyapp. I took this opportunity to teach my boy that we need to be patient if we want something, to always behave, to stay close to mummy when he is out and to help look after and protect his little sister as well.

* The rest of the story in this collection are very good as well as it comes with lessons to learn which we can instill on our children - such as to be caring towards our pets and siblings, to be neat and control our emotions, to have ambitions and goals  and so on.

iPad App Review - When I Grow Up

~ Posted on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 9:16 AM ~

We are a big fan of Little Critters' story apps! Although I was initially apprehensive with this app since it is featuring Little Critter's sister instead (I prefer apps with gender related to my kiddos, in this case, my 4 years old boy is reading/watching this story app, so I prefer to have Little Critter as the main character so my boy could relate himself to the storyline) but anyway, I guess this app is useful as it gives an idea to my boy that we can have dreams and goals no matter how young or old we are. Without further ado, here goes my feedback...

I like the storyline where it tells how Little Critter's sister imagine herself would be doing in future, a great ballerina, a courageous fire chief, a world-famous doctor, a winning race car driver and more!

* I used the opportunity in this storyapp to educate my boy that he can choose to be whatever he wants to be, to follow his passion and his heart in whatever makes him happy.
