Journal by Plan B, Publika

On 20th October 2012, my family and I went to Journal by Plan B, Publika. This is the first time we went to this shopping mall. We were there for the 2nd ambassadors gathering for Nissan LEAF.

On the way there, my 3.5 years old boy complained of having stomachache. He told me he felt like punching pains and wind pains in his tummy. I was worried and totally had no concentration during the gathering. Thank God hubby and I are the couple ambassadors so it does not look that bad (hopefully) for me to be missing occassionally during the gathering.

My main priority is to entertain my boy, to bring back his good spirits and happy mood. When we reached there, my boy insisted to wear his diapers and said he felt like pooping. If we were at home, he totally has no problems pooping in his potty but since we are out and it's a new place, I gave in, brought him to the toilet nearby and put on a diaper for him.

While waiting for the others to arrive, I brought Ben to check out the malls. There seems to be some sort of green recycling event around the mall. Snapped some pictures with my boy admiring the creations and exhibits there.

I also snapped some pictures at the place we gathered, Journal by Plan B, which most people called 'Plan B' instead. Love the book decos stacked all the way up in front of the restaurant and the quirky chairs hanging and dangling from the ceiling.

When all the ambassadors arrived, a waiter came around to take our brunch orders. I ordered a turkey ham sandwich for myself and a strawberry cheesecake for my boy hoping it will cheer him up when he sees strawberry, his favorite! All the while, my hubby tended to my girl, thank God she is easy to care for during the initial period.

I actually have to bring Ben in and out, because he was getting restless and as a mum, anything as long as he is feeling happy. It pains me to hear him telling and complaining that his tummy is painful. About an hour later, his mood improved tremendously and he told me he does not feel any pain in his tummy anymore. Yay!

From then on, I can finally relaxed a bit and enjoyed my brunch - what's left of it as hubby fed my turkey ham to my girl! Arghh!!! Oh well, as long as my kids are happy!

Less than 3 weeks for us to spend with the Nissan LEAF… time goes by real fast!

Fancy a Short Break?

~ Posted on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 5:13 PM ~

I wrote before that being a SAHM, one of the things I look forward to is taking a short break from home, to be away with my family on a holiday. Just in case you don't know, beign a SAHM is a hectic and tiring job, being stuck at home all day, 24 hours, 7 days a week and 365 days a year and now that I've begun teaching my 3.5 years old boy makes it even more appealing to take short breaks more often!

Currently, we normally go to family-friendly and near to the places of interests particularly beach area and with lots of good places with delicious food to eat! But we are planning to look for forest area for our next short break, possibly sometime after the new year since our latest family trip is just 2 weeks ago. Yeah, some kind of new year breaks would be awesome.

Why forest area? If you have been following my blog, you would remember I bought a survival kit for my hubby's birthday this year. He is very into survival preparation and readiness and would really love to try it out in as close scenario and environment as possible, hence the forest / jungle area. So I have been checking out websites locally on family-friendly camping areas which are comfortable for our 2 kids to be in while still be able to allow my husband to try out his knowledge and tools. Will update you guys more often if this plan materialises.

What about you? Do you want to take a short break too?

Covering Up Your Boat

~ Posted on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 3:59 PM ~

A few months ago, we went on a weekend holiday with our brother and sister in law and their family members. We stayed for a night at Avillion Resort Hotel Port Dickson and it was the first time my kids get to see so many boats at close-up range.

I remembered thinking to myself that all these boats were harbored at the jetty and most of them are not being used, heck, I think most likely these boats are being used only when the owners are available to take holidays or rest days to use them...

Now I don't think I'm qualified to advice much since I don't own a boat but I think if you are not using your boat, the owner or caretakers should at least cover up their boat right? In Malaysia, we get sunshine and rain all year long so I think the benefits of getting your boat covered up is to prevent mold and mildew which can be damaging to the boat's interior and decreasing the overall value of the boat as well. And also salt water is corrosive so long-term exposure to the boat can also result in serious damage to the boat's motor.

I was just browing around and came across the EmpireCovers website and noticed the many selections on EmpireCovers which one can look through before deciding to purchase a boat cover to protect their boat. I think this is a cool website as you can actually shop for the boat covers by the model, make, year and so on.

Do you have any tips to share on this topic?
