Potty Mouth...

~ Posted on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 2:06 PM ~

Sigh... what to do when your child has potty mouth?

Lately, my 3 years old boy has started saying these words: "STUPID ANT"

I realised he learned this from my MIL. You see, sometimes there are ants crawling around in our kitchen and during the initial stage, my MIL will kill the ants by either wiping them away with a damp cloth or pressing the ants with fingers or stepping on them with her feet.

Then Ben started observing. And listening.

And my MIL while killing the ants, will say 'Stupid ants! See Ben, see all these stupid ants!'

And now he says out what he learned and observed all these time.

Sigh... I am trying hard to 'wash off' these potty words from my 3 years old's mouth.

But the more we tell him not to say it, the more he thinks it is funny that we are annoyed (and angry) and the more he says it back.

So I'm now trying to ignore him when he says it. At the moment, when he notices me ignoring him (as if I didn't hear him), he repeated the words LOUDER and LOUDER. After a few attempts, he will go on with his playing and activities and forget about it.

Okay, at least my boy did not say any vulgar words but to me, the word 'stupid' is bad manners enough and I feel embarrassed with that word already.

So tell me, does your kid do this?

Product Review & Giveaway - Love Your Breed

~ Posted on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 11:40 AM ~

I came across this cute range of "Love Your Breed" products and was happy to be given the opportunity to review some of the gorgeous looking items! I love cute and cuddly animals, when I was in my teenage years, I used to have up to 24 guinea pigs! After I got married in 2007, we have a Labrador but due to personal reasons, we have to give the dog away few years later. Being able to review these items brings back sweet memories and make me feels good as I am still able to at least have some items which reminds me of our doggy.

First item of my review is the Acrylic Key chain of a cute little brown and white bulldog. I love that the size is not too big and it is not heavy at all! I also love that there are 2 key rings provided (one is the round ring and the other is the clasp hook) I can assure you this acrylic keychain is durable and scratch-free as my 10 months old girl happily munch and drop it on the floor few times (she is in the investigate and drop stuff onto floor phase right now...), so yeah, I am happy that the keychain is not scratched or damaged in any way!

Love Your Breed

Second item of my review is the Luggage Tag with another cute little French bulldog neatly sewn on the leather-like tag! I love the design and its cool shade of grey and this luggage tag comes with a cute little buckle strap, perfect to hook onto your luggage! There is also a small little note at the back of the tag which you can write down your name, address and phone number. Love love love this!

Love Your Breed

Next up is the Rhinestone Sticker, sorry I can only show you how it looks from the front, back, peeled off just a tiny wee bit as I decided not to use it... yet... It looks so cute and gorgeous and I don't want to just simply stick it to something for the sake of this review, so I am going to keep it a wee bit longer until I decided where I should place this rhinestone sticker on. What I can feedback on this item is the lovely design and choice of colors used, it is not too flashy and the pastel color is really pleasing to the eyes and I also love that the stickers is not thick at all (I hate stickers which are few millimeters thick!)

Love Your Breed

The following item for my review is the key cover which I have saved the best for last... I have been dreaming on putting my car key in this cute looking blue cover... until I tried doing so... and found out my car key is too big for it! Arghhhh!! Try and try as I may, I just can't force my car key into this cover... sigh... I am going to wait until my hubby duplicate another set of our house key (he lost his and took mine!) and then I will try again with this cover on our house key. Nevertheless, I love the soft elastic feel of the cover and it also came with a round key ring that you can hook it to the cover once you slot in your key. Awesome!
