I came across this article which I must definitely share with you guys as I'm very interested to know your thoughts on this. You can click on either images below to launch the video. For your convenience, I have copied the excerpts from the article here:
"A shocking experiment has proved children find household hazards like bleach and washing powder just as enticing as toys. Babies and toddlers can be seen in this powerful advert choosing the colourful bottles, interesting textures and clever sprays over their usual playthings more than half of the time.
The hidden cameras, eye-tracking sensors and heart rate monitor measured the youngsters attraction to different object as they were given the choice between the two.
At best they were torn fifty-fifty with the poisons and the toys, but they really are attracted to bleach and often went for the detergent tablets. In the video 50 per cent went for stain remover, 64 per cent went for paint and most shockingly 82 per cent went for bleach.
The Dutch government recorded 7,500 accidents each year involving children and household chemicals and decided to make a public service advert. It has a simple message: "Don't give kids a choice.""
You can test your kiddos as well though the quiz is in Dutch, but it's pretty easy to figure out. What you need to do is hit the yellow start button, then select your child's age and click on yellow button to start the quiz.
What do you think?
