Today, I received a cute little red bag filled with some Huggies Dry Pants samples for my review and I've gotta say this seems like a fun idea as I'd love to see how it works on my girl.
Description from the product page:
"Huggies Dry Pants is an easy-to-use option for active infants and toddlers – just try it and you’ll see how easy changing can be when all you need to do is just pull them up, tear and go! With its soft stretch sides to provide better comfort and help prevent red marks even when your baby is on the move and a quick lock system to help stop leaks, Huggies is Malaysia’s first brand of disposable diapers which is clinically proven to help prevent diaper rash!"
Now, my almost 4 years old boy is definitely won't be trying this out (fully potty trained yay!) but yeah, I'd love to see how this works for my 1.5 year old girl.
I do remember trying a diaper pant of another brand some time ago on my boy while we were out grocery shopping. I was pushing a trolley load of groceries when my boy suddenly said he need to poo. He was in the midst of his potty training progress, off diapers for peeing but whenever he wants to poo (ESPECIALLY in public) he insists on wearing a diaper to do his business in it. So yeah, that particular ocassion, my boy told me he MUST wear a diaper NOW because he needs to poo NOW, NOW, NOW.
Of course, I do need to look for a secluded place in the supermarket and quickly put a diaper on for my boy! My point is, at that critical situation when I really have not much time to spare to search for a baby room (not to mention lugging my trolley load of groceries) I feel it is a good option to use a diaper pants for this situation.
Just get my boy to stand still, slip the diaper pants on and wear back his pants, let him do his business and then look for a wash room to clean him up after he's done. I do tried this method with normal pants but it's a wee bit tougher as I have to practically hold the diaper still while I velcroed them together. Diaper pants just eliminate a few more tough tasks of using normal diapers hahaha...
Anyway, back to Huggies Dry Pants, yup, trying it on my girl this time. She has never been using any diaper pants so this will be her first time in it. She slips it on easily as how she would wear her leggings or pants and the material is soft and comfy, the elastic part is not too tight and it holds the diaper pants easily. My girl goes on to her ninja activities, walking and climbing all over wearing the diaper pants.
Changing the diaper pants is very easy! Unlike the previous diaper pants (another brand) that I tried on my boy last time which I had to take it out as how you would need to take off a pants, the Huggies Dry Pants is very very easy to take off! As how us Malaysians say it, it is as easy as “Koyak, Salin & Lepas” (in English, it means "Tear, Wear, Release"), tear off the seams at the sides of the diaper pants, wear a new diaper on and release your child. Easy peasy! But I think I am used to using the velcro ones as I always like to velcro back the tabs to the diapers before disposing the diaper, so when I unconsciously tried to velcro the Huggies Dry Pants, I realised oopss.. no velcro...
Anyway, I'll continue letting my girl try out the Huggies Dry Pants and see how we go along on this. In summary, so far so good. What a change for better convenience!
