Life is Like a Tunnel...

~ Posted on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 11:23 AM ~

Dearest Mummy & Daddy,

Thank you for taking care of me.

I know I am very mischievous and hyper curious with everything.

Sometimes I see new things, I want to go explore it.

I want to touch it,

I want to throw it (to see whether it makes funny sounds so I can practise my "Uh-ohhhh" sounds),

I want to step on it, I want to shake it.

I know I am growing up real fast.

With each day I am growing bigger and wiser.

I know I have to learn to make my own decisions when I grow up.

Life is like a big tunnel, huh?

I was initially worried and skeptical with the tunnel.

I mean, what's waiting on the other side?

Why do I have to go in alone?

What if there are frightening things inside the tunnel?

After a few coaxing and comforting words from mummy and daddy, I took the first step and crawled in.

And let me tell you, once you stepped crawled inside, you have to keep going and not regret the decision.

One must look forward to what's waiting on the other side!

Yes, we can paused and take a breather for a while to enjoy the journey in the tunnel of life,

but we have to keep going and not be complacent with what we have. Read: Ecclesiastes 10:18 (NIV)

We have to keep learning and go on with life.

We have to make use of what God gives to us.

Mummy said "God gives us the ability and capability to do things, make sure you do it and use it".

Don't waste God's work and efforts on us.

Mummy's daddy once told her that "once you start on doing something, make sure it's completed".

Don't ever leave something unfinished! Read: James 1:4 (NIV)

Everytime mummy prays to God, she prays that:

I grow up to be a God-fearing and God-loving child.

One who lives life according to His will.

One that does things that is pleasing to Him.

One that brings joy to the lives of all people who sees him.

One that shows the example of Christian living.

One that will honor and respect and takes care of his parents when he grows up.

I hope I can be that when I grow up.

And by the way, you know what I see at the end of the tunnel?

THIS...

I'm a full-time mummy

Clear blue sky with vast opportunities in front of me.

And with mummy and daddy by my side watching over me,

feeling so proud I've crawled through the tunnel ALL BY MYSELF!

And God watching over all of us, smiling down at my little feat!

The Look of Pure Happiness & Joy!

~ Posted on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 12:21 PM ~

I just love seeing the look of pure happiness and joy on Ben's face!

Pictures below taken by hubby while Ben was seated on my lap (we were at the swing) during our family outing at our usual playground park.

As usual, Ben loves swinging his feet up high...

Also, we have just started giving Ben a tablespoon of Scott's Emulsion every morning after his breakfast.

He just loves it so much!!!!

Picture below is the 1st time we showed him the bottle, which he inspects with full curiousity...

If you could see how his face lit up everytime he sees that bottle...

Ahhhh, what blissful sight!!

I'll try to record it one of this days for you guys to see if possible.

Meanwhile, I'm just going to sit back and bask in this aura of happiness and joy radiating from my dearest little man!

Raining & Cruising!

~ Posted on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 9:36 PM ~

It was raining yesterday afternoon, so I took the chance to enjoy the cooling air and nice rainy smell at the balcony with Ben.

The view outside our balcony... I love that tree!

You can view this video of Ben saying the word "Bubble" when he was fiddling around with the air bubble bottle...

After the rain stopped, we got ready for our evening walk in the park but just as we were about to arrive at the park, it started to drizzle again and so we decided to head to one of the shopping malls near our place... yeap, we're all dressed for our evening walks and we coolly walk around in the mall in our exercise clothing... Hahahaha...

We went to Carrefour to buy some grocery stuff before going to this mini playground on the 2nd floor right outside Toys'R Us. And then we found Ben suddenly doing this:

He just coolly hopped onto one of the kiddy rides.

It costs about 3 dollars (less than USD1) for a 5 minutes ride so we paid the attendant and got Ben to sit in one of the rides which came with a remote control. The other one is a pink car so we took the red one, strapped Ben with the safety belt and hubby controlled the car using the remote. The rest of the rides there do not have remote control so those are definitely no-nos.

We were kinda surprised to see Ben enjoying and riding in the MOVING car as there are a few times he kinda got nervous sitting ALONE in a moving rides.

And this time, he is sitting in one ALONE and it moves ALL AROUND. So, I busily snap some pictures for you guys to see while hubby carefully manevured the car.

Feel free to watch the short video of Ben cruising in the posh car!

Ben happily steered the steering all around - almost knocked into my shopping cart and entered into a shop nearby but luckily hubby took control of the car. After 5 minutes, we returned the car to the attendant and let Ben played at the mini playground.

It was a nice and leisure activity for the family, though I don't think we should do this often... 3 dollars for 5 minutes is OK once in a while but not often. And I'm really in awe with those people who created this kiddy rides.. it used to be those ugly rides (like some weird monster look alike creatures with no safety straps) which you sit on it and do nothing while it steers around by itself but now, they got more creative and comes out with all this cool kiddy rides that looks more like the real vehicles that people sit in...

Oh occassionally, Ben did go back near the kiddy rides area and pointed at the rides.

Next time Ben, next time, OK?
