Baby Room Review - Tropicana City Mall

~ Posted on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 10:53 AM ~

I hope you enjoy reading my baby room review as much as I enjoy sneaking in my camera along with my baby and sheepishly taking pictures during the nursing session hehehehe... I have previously blogged in my old blog about one of the smaller baby rooms in Tropicana City Mall, but this post is for the review of the bigger baby room in the same mall.

MY FEEDBACK

Location: There is proper signage that will lead you to the baby room (the baby room is located on 1st floor, next to the restrooms, just look out for Borders for landmark)

Facilities: There are 3 nursing rooms, each can be locked from inside for total privacy, dustbin, mirror, comfy sofas in each nursing rooms as well with ample space for your stroller or kids to be in. If you have someone else to look after your elder kids, you can let your kids play outside the nursing room as there is a play area for them. Most of the baby room is carpeted. In the next section, there is a sink, 2 diaper changing stations, dustbin, about 4-5 power outlets and also a toilet.

Comfort Level: The baby room is nice, one of my favorites! I do want to share sometimes the baby room is locked after certain hours, once encountered this when I tried going in at 9pm and found it locked.

Product Review & Giveaway - The Mommy Hook

~ Posted on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 12:00 PM ~

I am always on the lookout for products that my family and I can use around the house or when we go for our outings, so when I stumbled upon this product, I emailed to ask whether they are OK with international bloggers reviewing their products, and my oh my, they are happy to provide me their products for my review! So here goes my review for the "The Mommy Hook":

As mentioned earlier, the reason why I requested to review The Mommy Hook is because I feel it can really help when I have lots of things to carry around when we are out and about!

When I first received the item, my first impression of it is: "Strong stuff!" It is quite heavy to be honest and after checking out every nook and corner of The Mommy Hook, I can assure you it is made of good and sturdy materials which WILL be able to hold loads of stuff at one go!

I managed to use this product on several occasions but sadly the pictures taken are not clear or close-up enough as I was busy carrying my baby girl and not able to snap the pictures fast enough!

Pictures below taken in a hurry showing how I hook The Mommy Hook onto my baby's stroller (ready to use anytime!) and how my brother in law used it to carry ours and his stuff around.

This is a good product to be considered if you always have a lot of heavy things to carry around when you are out (like grocery shopping and so on) and you can just hook it onto your stroller so that it is ready to use at any time!

What's good?

* It is engaging and interactive and I love that we can also touch the objects in each page on the screen and the words pop out to tell you what it is!

* I like the storyline where it tells how the Little Critter have to clear up his mess in order to look for his lost baseball mitt.

* I used the opportunity in this book to teach my 3 year old son about the importance of cleaning up his own things (and mess!) and not immediately rely on other people for help. I want him to know that he should at least attempt and give it a try to do things on his own before asking for help from others. You might think 3 year old is a tad to young to be teaching him independence but I beg to differ. I can actually see my boy nodding his head while I explain to him about the importance of cleaning up his things.

* There are some pages which got Ben's attention and reactions such as the page where Little Critter had to look for his baseball mitt in his own bedroom, screenshot shown below:

* I used the opportunity on this page to show to Ben how important it is to be neat and tidy, that unkept things are not just a mess, it will be a trouble when we need to look for our things when the time comes!

Room for Improvement?

* Nothing I can think of!
