I actually received a set of handmade soaps from Laven Soap after winning a logo designing contest on my mummy FB group that I joined last year and promised the owner that I will do a product review for her handmade soaps, so here it goes:

I received the following items for my prize selection:

* DIY Soapmaking Kits - Clays or Powders

* Soy Milk Soap (Unscented) => 2 bars

* Coconut Milk Soap (Unscented) => 3 bars

* Almond Milk Soap (Unscented) => 2 bars

*Christmas Lip Balm => 1 piece

It took me over half a year before I can get to trying the soaps out and the first one I chose to use is the Soy Milk Soap. I just want to share how the product was nicely packaged, wrapped up in a nice glittery pouch. I like the simple product info on the soap as well.

When I unwrapped the soymilk soap, the first thing that impressed me is the cute little touch on the soap, one side showing the brand name, the other side the type of soap you are using. It has been weeks now since I started using the soap and yes, I can still see the wordings on the soap! It's nice to be reminded of what soap I'm using as I happily lathered on to my body and scrubbed away thinking, 'Hmm.. nice soap, what soap is this?' and I just flipped the soap and see the wordings.

The soap size is just nice to fit in the palm of my hand, it does not smell (I chose the unscented type) and I like that the soap does not crumbles/cakes off at all compared to the commercial soaps I used before. I also noticed that my skin is not as dry as it used to be and can't wait to try the other 2 soap types I got!

Btw, I also like that they also sell DIY soapmaking kits, something I've wanted to try (which is why I got it for my prize selection as well) but with 2 kiddos and 3rd one coming in 3 months time, I do hope to be able to try it out one of this day!

More Than Meets The Eye...

~ Posted on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 7:02 AM ~

Earlier last week, I asked our 4 years old boy to make a Lego car for me and when he showed me a plain simple rectangle looking box which he said is a Lego car, I thought in my heart 'Bah... so simple!' and then I jokingly asked him how to drive the car then?

He said need to take out the car roof.

And so he demonstrated to me by slowly lifting up the roof part and revealed what's inside his Lego car...

A car seat with steering and dashboard INSIDE!

Oh my awesometastic boy!!! I am just gobsmacked at this display of brilliance!!

There is more than meets the eye for this little child of mine!

Thank you God for blessing us with this child!

Finding a Maternity Swimwear

~ Posted on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 12:05 AM ~

Sigh, ever since we found out we are expecting our third child in October this year, we have cut down a lot of family trips to our current health club. We used to go there few times a month, to swim with our kiddos and just let them enjoy the children pool and let our kiddos float and practise their swimming in the adult pool with hubby guiding them. Me? Mostly I just stepped into the pool to enjoy the cool water as I do not know how to swim, but that does not stop me at all from entering the water despite my fear and not knowing how to swim.

But I can't squeeze into my swimwear anymore. So the few times that we do go to a swimming pool, I ended up sitting, resting with a book or my iPad mini and look after our belongings at the table and just let my hubby enjoy with our kiddos in the pool. But there are times I wished I could join my family in the swimming pool. Enjoy the cool water and just float around.

I have been searching for a comfortable and flexible swimwear that caters for maternity purposes but not able to find the right ones. Most of the retail shops here sell normal swimwear which caters for non-pregnant woman. Sigh, sigh, sigh... I wished the retail shops here could stock up more choices of maternity swimwear! Something that looks like this:

Maternity Swimwear

I am pretty conservative hence bikinis are a no-no for me at this pregnant stage, so a swimsuit with design like the above suits me well! I like the V-neck design as that allows me to still comfort nurse our 22 months old girl (yes, I am pregnant and yes, I still breastfeed our child). I like the ruched sides pattern on this swimwear as well and it also grows as your belly grows! Love this design!

What about you? What do you look for in a maternity swimwear?
