Sweet & Sour Stingray

For this post, I am sharing my next food recipe, Sweet & Sour Stingray. I first tasted this dish a few years back and just loved it! Without further ado, here is the recipe for Sweet & Sour Stingray:

Ingredients:
* Stingray (
cleaned, dried as much as you can)
* Turmeric powder, salt & pepper to marinate stingray & cornflour to coat
* Babas' chili powder (about 2 tbsp)
* Onion slices
* 3-4 tbsp of Chili Garlic Sauce (Brand: Huy Fong Foods Inc.)
* 1 tbsp of Hot Chili Sauce (Brand: Huy Fong Foods Inc.)
* Sugar (about 1 tbsp), water (about half cup), lemon sauce (about 1 tsp)
* Oil for frying - about 2 ~ 3 tbsp

Methods:

* Make sure stingray is as dry as possible (use paper towel to absorb)
* Marinate
stingray with turmeric powder, salt and pepper before coating stingray with corn flour (to prevent it from sticking to the pan)
* Heat oil in frying pan, fry the onion slices for a minute or two.
* Fry the
stingray for about 4-5 minutes before frying the other side for about 3-4 minutes.
* Pour in the sweet and sour sauce mixture.
* Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes.
* If stingray flakes upon poking with chopstick or fork, then it is done.

Outcome:

Sweet & Sour Stingray
