Product Review & Giveaway - Cleebo

~ Posted on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 8:33 AM ~

I was contacted by Serina to do a review on Cleebo, one of the products sold in her company and  after checking out the product details from its website, decided to give it a try since this product could also be use on a toddler as well!

Prior to this, I have been using a tweezer to do the job and although I have a nasal aspirator, it could only get rid of the wet snot and not the dry type... which is why I ended up using a tweezer on Ben when the situation warrants it.

Description from the product page:

"Cleebo has been developed by Opus Innovations Limited in consultation with a Paediatrician / GP as an innovative safe solution for removing dried nasal mucus (Bogies!) from the noses of children and incapacitated adults.

Cleebo’s main objectives focussed on: safety, hygiene, robustness, user-friendliness, child-friendliness, and ultimately effectiveness. Cleebo is essentially a pair of uniquely shaped ABS plastic tweezers with inter-changeable Medical Grade Silicone end tips. The end tips come in 5 different vibrant colours to encourage the child’s participation and co-operation. The ends also include many safety features including: depth limiting design with end tabs to prevent excessive insertion, an absence of any sharp ends, tight fit to tweezers to prevent them coming loose, and they are made from silicone which is a relatively soft material.

Cleebo can be used in 3 ways:
- Option 1: Use as conventional tweezers
- Option 2: Close both tips together & use with a dragging action, similar to using a cotton bud
- Option 3: Pull tweezers wide apart and use one side only as noted in ‘Option 2’ above. This method is effective for tiny nostrils. Should the tweezer tips remain too far apart, pinch the tweezers immediately above the ‘circle’ between the thumb and the forefinger and squeeze to reduce the gap as required."

Love the safety clip of the case

Now firstly, let's meet our product tester, Mr. Benjamin!

He was busy assembling and disassembling his toy car...

Now, I tried to test Cleebo on him when he's awake and alert. Nope, fat chance of trying that. He ran off the moment he saw me holding this new gadget. Backup plan? To try it when he's asleep...

Ahhh.... much much better now! Cleebo doing its job perfectly!

While Ben was still asleep, I find that Cleebo does its job perfectly! I am able to insert the tweezer into his nostrils and reached his ermm.. 'treasures' or boogers, or whatever you want to call it... and with the tips being so slim, Ben did not realised any foreign object invading his nostrils! (He's very sensitive, believe me!)

* What I like about this product: It focuses on the aspect of dried nasal mucus, which normal nasal aspirators in the market do not cater to. I also like the colored rubber tips that allow us to choose from (instead of just one!)

* What I would recommend: The safety tab on the rubber tip to be placed higher so that the tweezer can reached in further into a child's nostril (maybe it fits just nice for a baby with its current position now).

Other than that, there's nothing to complain about on this tweezer!
