* It is engaging and interactive and I love the navigation features (Home button at top right corner and Pages at bottom left corner)

* I like the games where you need to find the differences within a set of time. My 3.5 years old boy is very much into finding differences and matching things so this is a very fun game for him to play with!

* As for the concept of Halloween, we don't celebrate that in our family but I don't think that should be a stopping point or something that I should not be exposing to my child, at least I want him to know there is such celebration in other place and there is nothing to be afraid of.

Seeing Through The Eyes Of Our Children...

~ Posted on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 6:04 AM ~

Just the other day, I was rushing some invoicing work for my hubby and let my 3.5 years old boy played with his Lego blocks by himself. My 13 months old girl was napping at that time. Then my boy called me to check out his star Lego. I walked over and stood and can't see it. Had to stand for a while until I saw it.

Yup... that's a star alright!

Amazing right what our child can see in their own eyes and understanding? And few days later, he was playing with the bead shapes/blocks and told me he made a turtle. To be honest, it took me a few minutes before I am able to see it!

Awesome or what?! I am just so freaking proud with what my boy did! So so so amazing!

So, yeah, what I'm trying to say in this post is,

Learn to see through your child's eyes!

Do not underestimate their imagination and creativity.

Never look down or brush away their discoveries!

Just my 2 cents... That's all the updates I can share for now, feel free to ask and share if you have feedback!

iPad App Review - Tilly Witch

~ Posted on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 6:29 AM ~

When I saw the press release of this app, I immediately requested to review it as my 3.5 years old boy is into skeleton and spooky stuff at the moment, although I was a bit apprehensive initially due to the witch spooky face but decided to go with it after seeing the witch standing on a skateboard (my boy likes seeing skateboard hahaha)! Anyway, my review as below...

* It is engaging and interactive and I love the navigation features (Home button at top right corner and Pages at bottom left corner)

* The illustrations are cute and simple and colorful too.

* To be honest, I was rooting for Tilly to remain a happy witch and was sad when she became a bad and angry witch in the end.

* As for the concept of Halloween, we don't celebrate that in our family but I don't think that should be a stopping point or something that I should not be exposing to my child, at least I want him to know there is such celebration in other place and there is nothing to be afraid of.
