Product Review - Skechers Relaxed Fit: Superior - Pace Shoes

~ Posted on Friday, July 26, 2013 at 7:30 AM ~

Towards the end of May this year, I blogged about our upcoming product reviews for Skechers again and yes, it has been such an awesome opportunity to be able to work with Skechers again! I have previously shared our review on Ben's awesome kid's shoes, the " Skechers Boys' Hot Lights: Damager - Police II Shoes" and Alyson's "Skechers Girls' Lite Dreamz - Dreamweaver Shoes", so this round will be on my hubby's "Skechers Relaxed Fit: Superior - Pace Shoes":

Hubby actually wanted to try the pig skin shoes which was on display but it was quite troublesome to try the shoes as they were neatly wrapped up (due to it being made with pig skin and it is not halal for Muslims to be touching pig skin, well they can touch it but they need to wash their hands and skins with special water later) so idea abandoned...

As usual, my hubby took quite a while to settle on the shoes he wanted! He walked around and around, tried and tested quite a number of the shoes in the shop, ended up with about 2-3 pairs to which I politely rejected ahahahahah... And I sort of nudged him towards getting this one in chocolate color, which I told him is suitable for casual and work use.

He finally decided on the shoes you see above because of the following factors: Very comfortable, very easy to wear and takes off, suitable for everyday use as well. Now let's see how this awesome shoes look like in close-up. He said the shoes fit his feet nicely and it's awesome that it also flexes as he bends his feet when he walks and runs about.

Hubby loves this shoes a lot and wears it when he goes work and to church. Just the other day I saw a banner for a shoe warehouse sales and hubby went 'For what?! I've got a nice Skechers shoes already! No need to go for other brand!'

Red Bean Drinks

~ Posted on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 7:53 AM ~

For this post, I am sharing my next food recipe, oh well drinks actually... I used to love drinking this and my late mum used to make this and keep it refrigerated for better taste. Mmmmmm, recently had a bowl of this drink at my SIL's house and it sparked back my long lost love for this drink! So here goes my post on Red Bean Drinks:

Ingredients:

1. Red beans (some ppl used Japanese Adzuki beans) - quantity up to you, soaked (overnight if you can), rinsed & drained
2. Pandan leaves (also known as screwpine leaves) for fragrant purposes
3. Water (quantity up to you as well) - I put it about 2 inches above the red beans
4. Rock sugar (quantity up to you)
5. Optional: Sago (small tapioca pearls) quantity up to you, this is more for chewy taste and texture in the drinks

Methods:
* Put everything in the slow cooker - red beans, the pandan leaves, rock sugar and water.
* You can set to high mode for 2 hours and add in the sago in the last half hour or so.
* Red beans drinks is best served when chilled so you might want to let the drinks cooled down and refrigerate them first.

* The illustrations is clear and vivid, as for storyline, I'm happy we get to preview this storyapp first before we watched the movie on 20th July 2013! I used the opportunity in this storyapp to teach my boy that we must work hard towards making our dreams come true and not just sit around and become lazy.

* One of the cool thing in this app is there are other options for you to play around such as 'Meet the Crew', 'Racing Team' and 'Turbo Training' apart from being able to customize Turbo’s shell via the Turbo-ize option.

* I'm also impressed that not long after watching this storyapp, my 4 years old boy started drawing snails on his doodling activity time. Not bad!
