iPad App Review - Inside Your Outside: All About the Human Body

~ Posted on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 7:47 AM ~

Our 5 years old boy has always been intrigued with our body organ functions, skeletons and etc. The moment I received a pitch to review this new app, I immediately requested for a review opportunity as I can foresee our kiddos enjoying and learning more from this app!

* This app is engaging and interactive and I love that we can also touch and even move some of the objects in each page on the screen and the words pop out to tell you what it is!

* I used the opportunity to teach our kiddos the importance of our body parts, the five senses and I myself learned something new as well! I'm glad to be able to explain to our boy with an example of how we feel dizzy after spinning or twirling around (we sometimes sit on my office chair and have a wild spin hahahaha)

* Prior to this, our kiddos have been watching cartoon documentaries on human body and its function and with this app, I am also able to explain more to our boy. He seems to be particularly intrigued at the page below, how the bladder empties out the waste water - I can see him getting a better picture of how his pee comes out from his body.

* Overall a nice educational app for the kiddos! We love it!

Product Review - CUT IT OUT Wall Stickers

~ Posted on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 8:11 AM ~

Two months ago, I received an email on the possibility to review some wall stickers. At that point, my hubby and I were discussing on the possibilities of converting a small space below our attic to be our small living room and I thought it might be good to have one of these stickers in the room. The idea didn't work out due to some circumstances but still, the stickers did not go to waste. I put it into our bedroom :) Anyway, let's continue with my review below...

About the company:
"Cut it out wall stickers was created with its customers in mind, offering you an affordable yet innovative way of styling your interior. We are a team of professional London based graphic designers who set up cut it out in late 2011. We began as a trio, tired of our mundane 9-5 jobs we decided we needed change! Following the recent trend for wall vinyl we followed in swift pursuit but of course with a little cut it out flare. Our doodled designs on post it notes grew to become panoramic wall art.

We have now migrated from our cramped bedroom offices to a studio, horaah! With an additional three members of staff we hope to continue growing from strength to strength. Nevertheless we retain our founding principles, hand finished craftsmanship and a bespoke customer service, something rarely found on the high street. Providing a great customer shopping experience from start to finish is our utmost objective.

Our wall stickers are not mass produced and every wall sticker/decal is made to order by us. The beauty of these particular wall stickers is that once they are applied they look like they have been 'hand painted' blending seamlessly onto your walls. With a colour palette to die for, you will be spoilt for choice."

I browsed through the website selection for family type of wall stickers and finally decided on the "May Love Be The Heart Of This Home Wall Sticker". I love the inspiring message and hope it is that way for our family and home :)

There is an easy to follow video tutorial on the website guiding you how to apply the wall stickers, it is easy and to be honest, I initially have some concerns on applying the wall stickers I got as I thought it would be tough what more with the cursive writings and all. But my concerns were all gone right after I watched the tutorial and realised how easy it was to apply the wall stickers.

The wall stickers are of good quality, easy to apply and gives an amazing new look on our wall. Love it!

* This app is engaging and interactive and I love that we can also touch the objects in each page on the screen and the words pop out to tell you what it is!

* I used the opportunity to teach our boy to be careful with his surroundings now that he is going for his preK and his class has physical activities at the nearby park. Honestly, this is the first time I learned about ground bees so I make sure our kiddos know there is such insects and to be very careful everywhere they are.

* I also used the opportunity to explain to our boy that we should be humble and not arrogant, to learn new things when there is opportunity given.

* Overall a nice story for the family!
