Bible Action Songs!

~ Posted on Monday, March 7, 2011 at 2:54 PM ~

My SIL bought Ben a couple of Bible Action Songs VCDs last year and on and off we've been playing the VCDs for Ben to watch every now and then. Some of the songs were also sung during Ben's Sunday schools so it's really nice to see Ben reacting positively and enthusiastically whenever he hears the songs!

I took some recent photos of Ben while he was watching the Bible Action Songs VCD...

Ben got excited when the "Head & Shoulders, Knees & Toes" song came on...

And he started dancing on the bed, pointing to his knees and toes real quick...

Ben following the hand gestures while watching the "Open Them, Shut Them" song...

And Ben showing how mighty God is during "My God is so Great" song...

Ever since I noticed how Ben reacted positively and enthusiastically whenever he hears the songs during Sunday schools, I decided to play the VCDs more often now. I'm thinking I should probably get down to drawing up a daily activities timetable for Ben...

24 Awesome, Awesome Months!

~ Posted on Friday, March 4, 2011 at 8:30 AM ~

Yeap, today is the day my precious Benjamin turns 24 months old... aka, the TERRIFIC 2 stage! I choose not to even think of the commonly used 'terrible twos' terms as I like to think positive and I believe we as parents should think the best of our child!

So yeah, here's a glimpse to the 24 awesome, awesome months we went through with our dear boy. Mind you, I have a very, very large collection of pictures taken almost daily since Ben was born and so to choose only 1 to depict each month is quite a difficult task. There are of course many many more I would love to share with you guys but these will do for now... heheheh...

Some of the pictures are linked to some of my blog posts, so feel free to click on it to read more (and see more pictures!). Here goes:

Weekend Family Outing at National Science Center

~ Posted on Monday, February 28, 2011 at 9:41 AM ~

Hubby found out from one of his friends that there is currently a dinosaur expo going on at the National Science Center and we decided to check out the expo after having our lunch at home. Tickets for adults cost RM10 each while children under age of 4 goes in free of charge.

Now a bit info about the dinosaur expo:

"The Dinos Alive World Tour will be here in Kuala Lumpur from 1st December 2010 till 31st May 2011 everyday from 9.00am to 5.00pm. The tour will see 32 ‘life-sized’ dinosaurs including the ever famous Tyrannosaurus Rex, towering above you at a height of 16 feet. There is also an Apatosaurus measuring a whopping 23 feet! Other dinosaurs like the Stegosaurus, the Megalosaurus and the sly Velociraptor can also be found here at the exhibition."

"Oh my goodness, that T-Rex is trying to eat my son!!"

I love this shot! This is the roof of the National Science Center.

Ben was quite scared with some of the dinosaur exhibits though there are some that he doesn't mind touching and patting and he even said 'Hi' to some of the cuter looking dinos.

I think he enjoyed himself very much at the kiddy playground area and those non-dinosaur science exhibits, especially the one with the mirror tunnel which reflects multiple images of yourself when you looked through the mirror tunnel.

All in all, it was a fun family outing, though there are other spots which we have missed out at the center (those located outdoors especially) as we only reached the center about 3pm. We will consider revisiting the place again, more to check out what we have left out in this round.
