My Water Boy?

~ Posted on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 8:33 AM ~

What is it with 3 year old kid and water? Look at the picture below... see how happy my boy looks?!

Water Boy

My boy loves playing with water, in the water, everything. Running around in it, sitting in it, splashing with it, swimming in it,  spraying it, soaking in it... You name it, he's either done it or doing it...

Just a few weeks ago, we tagged along with our SIL and her family to their club. It was Ben's 2nd time at the club and this time, with 4 other cousins (they are all older than Ben, the youngest is about 7 years old) and yet, Ben had a great time splashing about in the swimming pool!

He migrated over from the kiddy pool to the Olympic size swimming pool, without any fear (leaving mummy in the kiddy pool with baby Alyson) and since then, his confidence in the swimming pool grew tremendously! We went for a 1D 1N trip recently with our other BIL and SIL (and their kids) and Ben happily went into the swimming pool (IGNORING the kiddy pool too!) Heck, even my 7 months old girl is enjoying in the swimming pool too!

My oh my, my 3 year old is all grown up! Look at the picture below, it has been a long time since he last sat inside his bath tub (now being used by his baby sister) but the other day, he sat in it and pretended it was a spaceship. Oh-kay... and then I started snapping pictures of him in the bath tub (mummy blogger's habit, I know, I know) and this particular shot just stood out from the rest.

I love it!

Look at his face as he studied the reflection and light caused by the spraying water.

Water Boy

I am happy to see his happy face when he's playing with water so yeah, I'm really looking forward to our family trip next month (Mother's Day!)

Proverbs 27:19 (NIV) As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart.

John 7:38 (NIV) Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.

Hiccup’s world is turned upside down when he encounters a dragon that challenges him and his fellow Vikings to see the world from an entirely different point of view. "

What's good?

* The illustrations is clear and exactly the same from the movie. If you like to watch the movie, then you can expect the same storyline on this app!

* I'm not sure whether it's my eyes playing tricks on me or what but I think there are a couple of pages from the storybook which I don't recall on the movie, so I think it is great to see that (or bad if it's really my memory problems!)

* I like this storybook as I don't need to play the whole movie for my boy to watch, I can go through the app with him and just our imagination and memory to replay back the scenes from the movie.

* Although Ben has yet to understand the significance of the words being highlighted in green as it is being said out in the storybook, I think it is good to have this feature when he starts learning on this in future.

* I really appreciate being able to pause midway the storybook (the pause, resume button is on the top right hand side)

Product Review - Envirosax

~ Posted on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 8:49 AM ~

I received a pitch a month ago about the opportunity to review and host a giveaway for this awesome environmental friendly (and gorgeous looking!) bags and I immediately replied with a big YES! I mean, review and also host a giveaway of this to one of my lucky follower, why not? Right? Anyway, here goes my review for the "Envirosax - Cherry Lane Bag 3":

I requested for the "Cherry Lane Bag 3" and when I got it, I went 'Wow! It's so small!' Definitely convenient to put in my diaper bag and use when I needed to!

The bag has an easy to follow instructions on how to fold it back once you unfold it but for someone like me, who ehem... really has no time to read and follow the steps (until I got stuck that is whoopsss!), I basically just fold and fold until it became small enough for me to snap back the buttons together. And that's when I realised, hey, this is easy to fold back as well!

Although it stated that it can carry 20kg load, I did not try it out (hey, then again, the last time I weighed Ben about few months ago he was around 13kg? Maybe.......)

I love the long and wide handles of the bag, perfect for me to sling it on my shoulder and I love the beautiful floral designs as well! One thing I'm not comfortable with is the snap buttons which are located at the bottom of the bag, it just felt weird to me, can't explain why... I think it would be better if the snap buttons with the small straps are located at one of the side of the bag.

Other than that, I also noticed the bag came with a water resistance feature, so I told myself I have got to try the bag out when we have the chance to go swimming hehehe... and no sooner that I thought of that, we have the chance to go swimming at my sister in law's club. Yay!

Yep, the top 2 pictures was my hubby carrying the Envirosax, walking with Ben on our way to the swimming pool. I actually stuffed my 2 kids swimming suits (hubby and I had ours on already) and 3 towels with some bathing products in the Envirosax bag. And yes, after we swam and showered and I stuffed all 4 of our swimming suits and wet towels back into the same bag, it is still dry on the outside, so water resistant feature tested OK!

The bottom 2 pictures are taken on a different occasion, you can see 2 iPads inside and some of my kids clothing inside the Envirosax bag which I slung over our stroller. Nice!

In summary, a very good bag to have around, can be depended on in wet and dry situations, and while you look chic and gorgeous with the bag, you also help with the environment as well as you can reuse over and over and over again!

Awesome!
