I came across this article which I must definitely share with you guys as I'm very interested to know your thoughts on this. For your convenience, I have copied the excerpts from the article here:

"A doctor has warned parents against kissing their children on the lips, arguing it is “too sexual”.

Many parents will see it as a simple sign of parental affection, but Dr Charlotte Reznick has warned the mouth is an erogenous zone which “can be stimulating” and subsequently cause confusion for children. The author of ‘The Power of Your Child’s Imagination: How to Transform Stress and Anxiety Into Joy and Success’,  told The Sun that children might associate kissing with sexual or romantic activity between parents and then wonder why their parents were engaging in the same activity with them too. She says it might cause a child to think: “If mommy kisses daddy on the mouth and vice versa, what does that mean, when I, a little girl or boy, kiss my parents on the mouth.”

The suggestion has been derided by other child psychologists who say there is no harm in such displays of affection. Clinical psychologist Sally-Anne McCormack told the newspaper: “There is absolutely no way that kissing a young child on the lips is confusing for them in any way.

“That’s like saying breastfeeding is confusing. Some people might have issues with it, but it isn’t any more sexual than giving a baby a back rub.”"

I personally feel it is sexual if you make it so. Same goes for breastfeeding. What do you think?

Dinner - Before & After

~ Posted on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 5:57 AM ~

Last year, I wrote about a look back into my home-cooked journey so far. Then shortly before the end of 2014, I wrote a post on my preparation when cooking. Then I thought, "Why not snap a picture of before start cooking and the final results after cooking?"

So, here you go..

Left part of the picture is the ingredients all ready to be cooked on 29th  April 2015. Ingredients on top (clockwise): A bowl of chopped small red onion with dried chilli, a bowl of sliced garlic, a bowl of chopped tomatoes (deseed), chicken marinated with turmeric powder + chilli powder + sliced onions + salt pepper, a bowl of chilli powder + sugar + water, a can of red beans, 2 eggs, a bowl of minced pork marinated with sweet soy sauce and sugar, chopped long green beans (not in picture).

Let's Learn Bahasa & Cantonese - Happy Birthday!

~ Posted on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 5:51 AM ~

Ever since I started kindergarten at 6 years old, I have been attending public schools (main language is Bahasa Malaysia) and during my earlier years, I mixed around with a lot of Malay friends and even spoke Bahasa with my elder brother at home (he also attends public schools), even to this day. So Bahasa Malaysia used to be my main language other than Cantonese and later on English (brushed up more when I met my hubby then boyfriend through snail mails, I had to practise and brush up my English as he doesn't speak Cantonese) Anyway, I think it is fun to be able to practise back and sharing what I know with those of you who are interested.

And so, here goes our next lesson: Happy Birthday!

Let's Learn Bahasa & Cantonese

For those of you who are more often on Facebook, you can also find the tutorials on my Facebook fan page. I have created a "Let's Learn Bahasa & Cantonese!" album to store the phrases. Enjoy learning!
