Printable Travel Games to Entertain the Kids During A Road Trip

~ Posted on Friday, November 27, 2015 at 5:30 AM ~

I'm always looking for printables to print out for our kiddos to learn and practice on. A few weeks back I stumbled upon these couple of printable games which I improvised a wee bit so that I can use them to entertain our kiddos during any road trip we will have (one coming up in December in fact)

The original printable is meant to be a mini book, for you to print, fold and cut out so that it is a small handy sized book that kiddos can use but I'm all for long-term usage of any useful, fun and educational stuff, so I decided to improvise on this by laminating the printables and turning it into flipcards instead.

The materials I used were:

- A4 paper to print the printables (color preferably)
- laminator with 2 sheets of laminating pouch
- scissors
- a corner cutter (I love all my laminated stuff to have rounded edges hehehe)
- a hole puncher
- a key ring

The steps:

1. Print out the printables using color printer.
2. Laminate the printout.
3. Cut out the printables.
4. Punch a hole at one of the corner, repeat for all cards.
5. Trim the corners of all cards using a corner cutter.
6. Hook up all the cards using the key ring.

This is how my printables look like once completed. All ready to be used by our kiddos during a road trip!

Product Review - Adoken

~ Posted on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at 5:00 AM ~

I have been cutting down on doing product reviews since 2014 and only accepted those that I feel will definitely fit into our family dynamics (especially books on parenting or homeschooling stuff, family products, something along those genre)

Few months ago, I received an offer to review Adoken, which is a new local brand specialising in safe and natural personal care baby/kids products. So let's continue with my review below...

Adoken

About the product:

"Adoken source main ingredients from quality suppliers from US and UK, formulates and produces it with local expertise and adheres to stringent quality control standards. Hence our products are as good as overseas brand, or even better to suit local tropical climate (in terms of its stability) and Asian skin’s nature, with very affordable pricing for your long terms need."

I received a bottle of Adoken Natural Orange Kids Body Wash for our review. The big bottle of 750ml contains orange essential oil and moisturizing Aloe Vera among the key ingredients. This body wash is formulated to care for kids' active lifestyle - protecting them from germs while keeping them smelling good and fresh.

Adoken

I tried out the body wash on our 2 girls first. The body wash is transparent and very liquidy in texture. It has a nice citrusy orange-y smell to it when you lather it onto your body and you just need a small little dab and it does its job awesomely. After washing off, it does not leave any sticky or oily residue/feel and I like that!

I actually use the body wash on our kiddos from head to toe, it does not leave any stinging sensation in their eyes as I washes off the body wash from their hair.

Some good to know information about the body wash stated in the website is this body wash has 100% plant active ingredient, Tear-Free (proven by me using it on our kiddos from head to toe hah!), Sulfate, Paraben and Synthetic Fragrance Free, dermatologically tested and its gentle formula is suitable for normal as well as sensitive skin.

I'm down to the last few drops of body wash and very sad to see it finishing (2 months for 3 kiddos). But then again, I'm very happy and grateful to have the opportunity to review it, thank you Adoken!
