I have previously reviewed the hair care range of products by Shielo which is awesome so I absolutely agreed to another review of products from the same company! This time, I get to review the skin care products so here goes my review for the "Shielo Anti-Aging Kit":

I received a total of 2 items for my review: Smoothing Complexion Scrub and Visage Complexion Moisturizer.

Shielo

I love that the products are sealed properly as that gives me confident in using them. I'm not sure about you but I personally feel more at ease knowing the company put in extra effort to seal their products to ensure proper care and safety.

Shielo

I first tried out the "Smoothing Complexion Scrub". The instruction stated that we can use the scrub once or twice a week, I used it once a week. What I did was I washed and cleaned my face with water first, then wipe it dry and smeared a dollop of the scrub onto my palm before massaging them onto my face all over.

I massaged my face with the scrub for about few minutes before rinsing off with water again and then wiped my face dry and put on the "Visage Complexion Moisturizer". It feels just like any other face lotion, I like that it is not too oily or watery and it smells good too!

After testing the products for more than a month, I realised that my facial skin is smoother, not so oily and I caught myself a couple of times looking at the mirror saying to myself that I think I look younger nowadays hahaha!

Shielo

Love this products and will continue using them!

Guest Post - Estate Planning

~ Posted on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 2:22 PM ~

Estate Planning
When it comes down to it, nobody wants to think about depressing or stressful subjects: when the next cycle of bill payments is due, how many days it is until the kids are on school holidays, or what to cook for the family’s next meal! With so many headaches in day-to-day life, it can sometimes be hard to cope when those big stresses pop up, like injuries, big bills that need to be paid, or even the discontinuation of your child support.

It may seem like you’re counting your chickens before the eggs have hatched, but estate planning is vital. Not only does it save your family undue stress, but it also takes a load off your shoulders as well – you won’t have to worry about how they’ll cope in the unlikely scenario that something bad may happen to you or your partner.

Here’s a few things you need to consider when you start to look at estate planning.

Will
A will is the most recognised form of estate division, outlining the payments of final debts and the allocation of assets. You’ll be relying on an executor to follow through with your wishes, although wills must go through a probate, which can be lengthy and expensive depending on where you live (the probate is a process where your will is tested to see if it is legally valid and all disputes are resolved).

Trust
Using a trust is like using a will for estate division; however, a key difference is in the fact that in a trust, the lengthy and expensive probate is avoided altogether. Instead of an executor, the title of the person in charge of managing your estate is the trustee.

Intestacy
In intestacy, the court will divide your possessions according to a formula provided by your state’s intestacy statute. This occurs when estate division is not specified, and can be one of the most emotionally and financially stressing situations for your family to dispute and resolve. You really want to avoid this because it will cause so much trouble for your loved ones.
While you can try estate planning by yourself, it’s probably best to go through this process with a professional. There are many potential disputes that may arise from vague conditions and oversights that will cause much undue stress to your family, and can result in the incorrect division of all of your life’s accumulated wealth – and in the end, it’s about making it easier for your family, not difficult.

Website Review - Workingmums.co.uk

~ Posted on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 5:20 PM ~

I recently had the opportunity to review this wonderful website which offers much more than job opportunities. I have to confess from time to time, I do check out websites like this, trying to find out whether there are any ways I can earn some side income while still remain as a SAHM to my 2 cheeky kids. So here goes my review for the website:

Description from the product page:

"We work with hundreds of employers - from large corporate firms to small businesses, and have a large database of professional women seeking work in a wide variety of fields. Candidates register for free and can file their CVs, whilst employers pay a small fee to post their job on the site and contact candidates who match their requirements. There are also fantastic opportunities for employers to promote their brand, and their flexible working policies.

Workingmums.co.uk also offers much more than job opportunities. Mums can also search for small business and self-employed opportunities in our Business-Zone and Franchise-Zone, where franchisors can seek to expand their brand by reaching thousands of potential franchisees. We also offer advice, news and working mums' blogs, in order to share news, views, experiences and information with working mums everywhere."

I think this website is awesome as it connects women (such as us mums!) with opportunities to earn side income either by self-employed or small business opportunities or franchising options.

Not only that, this website is packed with tips and advice, and there are avenues to share news, opinions, experiences and information with working mums as well! Why don't I see this type of websites in Malaysia?!

As for the layout and navigation aspect of this website, I'll have to say I am satisfied with them and find it easy to navigate around and finding information I wanted. For example, to satisfy my curiosity, I tried searching for available jobs (to see what are the cool jobs being offered in the UK market) and I am happy to see the jobs offered being filtered by the working pattern (whether full or part time), contract type (such as permanent, temporary, etc), location, sectors and many more.

One thing I would recommend is for the company to include job opportunities to people from overseas (like me!) as well. For example job which only requires online presence such as filling up surveys, data entry etc will definitely attract more job seekers (like me!) and bring a win-win situation to all parties.
