Toddler Meals (December 2011)

~ Posted on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 8:53 AM ~

It has been a while since I last posted pictures and meals that Ben took. I used to do  the toddler meals posts on a weekly basis before I delivered Alyson and I want to continue back this tradition of disciplining myself to ensure Ben is getting proper meals but I think with my schedule now, I can post it on monthly basis and pictures taken will be whenever possible.

Product Review - Wish Trend Ciracle Vitamin E5 Cream

~ Posted on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 7:21 AM ~

I always have the weirdest and luckiest luck ever! Or maybe the Twitter fairy is being kind to me... Anyway, I stumbled upon this tweet message by Wish Trend looking for bloggers to review their products and I replied them asking whether they are OK with international bloggers, and my oh my, they are happy to provide me a product of my choice from their website for my review! After checking out each and every one of their items, I decided to review the Ciracle Vitamin E5 cream. So here goes my review for the "Ciracle Vitamin E5 cream":

Description from the product page:
"Ciracle Vitamin E5 Cream contains 5% Vitamin E (tocopherol) for whitening and anti-aging cream.
- It helps relax and de-stress for protecting the skin against the damage and harmful environment.
- Vegetable extracts enhance the skin preservation as oil and moisture and keep the refreshed and skin moisture all day long.
- The whitening effectiveness of ‘Ciracle Vitamin E cream’ gained the certification from Korean FDA. So it can help whiten your dark and tired skin.
- You can keep the moisturizing and youth with small amount of Vitamin E cream.
"

Sorry for the picture quality... I took it in my room at night under yellow night, but trust me, the product looks much more awesome than the pictures I took! Anyway, just want to share how the product was nicely packaged, protected by layers of bubble wrap and the box packaging is very nice too. I like the sleek way of how the bottle cap turns easily upon opening and closing as well.

The reason why I requested to review the Vitamin E5 Cream is because errmmm... I don't ever use any vitamin E5 products and so would like to try it out now? Anyway, after reading through the product info page, I settled firmly on reviewing it as I feel I have a few spots on my body which needs moisturising! A lot!!!

Those areas are my face, elbows, legs and thighs. Just take a look at my dry crackling skin... horrible huh... it has been like that since I could remember.

Now I apply the cream after bath everyday (OK, almost.. sometimes I forgot...) especially to the 4 areas above. I can immediately see a layer of moisture on my skin which helps hydrate my dry skin. Pictures below taken after 1 month:

My skin stays moist throughout the night and I also like that the cream does not have any smell. My skin is smoother now thanks to Ciracle Vitamin E5 cream!

A very good product I say!

iPad App Review & Giveaway - Elfishki and the Giant Cake

~ Posted on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 11:03 AM ~

I received an email from Pavel Mamaev the creator of Elfishki Series of Interactive iPad Books asking whether I would be interested in reviewing their app and after checking out the video preview (the app was due to be released few days after that) I decided I have to review the app! The exciting colors and illustrations on this app is just so inviting and alluring! And the game that comes with the app where you get to create and decorate your own cake, wow, I just had to let my boy try it out! Anyway, my review as below...

Elfishki and the Giant Cake

* Title: Elfishki and the Giant Cake
* Price: $0.99
* Category: Books
* Released: 21 December 2011
* Version: 1.0
* Size: 278 MB
* Language: English, German
* Seller: Pavel Mamaev
* Rated: 4+
* Requirements: Compatible with iPad. Requires iOS 5.0 or later

Description from the product page:

"Elfizz was an owner of a gloomy restaurant named Chest of Ghosts where the staff was eager to please ghosts. On the opposite side of the square was a bakery, Gingerbread Nook, run by a pretty plump Elfishki lady called Maggie. The two were at odds with each other until one day they had to work side by side...

Here's what you find in the app:
1. Original, not found anywhere else captivating texts, designed to develop your child’s conscious reading skills - according to the Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts.
2. Stunning interactive art, classic animation and videos.
3. THREE(3) Questions on every page of the book specifically designed to help your child analyze the text, boost their imagination and make predictions about the story.
4. A bonus game specifically designed to boost your child’s imagination - Decorate the Cake - where you can save and share your child’s fantastic creation. "

What's good?

* The illustrations of this app are amazing! Love the vibrant colors and the interactive play.

* I like the storyline where it tells how 2 bakers were at odds with each other and then ended up working together, each with their own strengths and capabilities and make a successful cake together!

* There is 1 particular page which got Ben's attention and he played it over and over and over again! It's where the bat hanging upside down accidentally dropped a strawberry when you touch it. My boy just loves the hilarity of it!

Elfishki and the Giant Cake

* I like the game that came with this app where you can create and decorate your own cake, cute and naughty wise  and even choose to add some default text on the cake picture - great for sending over as an e-card to someone!! Anyway, Ben enjoys decorating his own cake, check out his cake below:  Elfishki and the Giant Cake

Room for Improvement?

* I am not sure whether it is my iPad or the app which is slow but when I tried emailing the picture of the cake we created, it took a few seconds to load the picture onto the email draft.
