Weekend Family Outing at National Science Center

~ Posted on Monday, February 28, 2011 at 9:41 AM ~

Hubby found out from one of his friends that there is currently a dinosaur expo going on at the National Science Center and we decided to check out the expo after having our lunch at home. Tickets for adults cost RM10 each while children under age of 4 goes in free of charge.

Now a bit info about the dinosaur expo:

"The Dinos Alive World Tour will be here in Kuala Lumpur from 1st December 2010 till 31st May 2011 everyday from 9.00am to 5.00pm. The tour will see 32 ‘life-sized’ dinosaurs including the ever famous Tyrannosaurus Rex, towering above you at a height of 16 feet. There is also an Apatosaurus measuring a whopping 23 feet! Other dinosaurs like the Stegosaurus, the Megalosaurus and the sly Velociraptor can also be found here at the exhibition."

"Oh my goodness, that T-Rex is trying to eat my son!!"

Daddy and Ben at a safer distance away from the menacing looking T-Rex...

Ben strolling happily by himself once he's away from the dinosaur exhibits...

Ben looking up, very intrigued at some aeroplane toys that moves using solar energy...

Ben helping daddy by pressing the button to release the 'rocket'

National Science Center

Who says it's an easy job pressing buttons?!

National Science Center

"I'm seeing double Ben, no, triples, no wait... how many of Ben are there?!!

My eyes! What's wrong with my eyes??!!"

National Science Center

Ben climbed up the tree house and played with some balls in it...

He also tried to lift up this dragonfly...

Ben managed to score some goals!

National Science Center

I love this shot! This is the roof of the National Science Center.

Ben was quite scared with some of the dinosaur exhibits though there are some that he doesn't mind touching and patting and he even said 'Hi' to some of the cuter looking dinos.

I think he enjoyed himself very much at the kiddy playground area and those non-dinosaur science exhibits, especially the one with the mirror tunnel which reflects multiple images of yourself when you looked through the mirror tunnel.

All in all, it was a fun family outing, though there are other spots which we have missed out at the center (those located outdoors especially) as we only reached the center about 3pm. We will consider revisiting the place again, more to check out what we have left out in this round.

The Joy of LOVE - When You Love Them The Most

~ Posted on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 12:20 PM ~

Today's prompt is: "What really makes you tick about your loved one? What do they do to go out of their way to make sure you are happy and that you have a great day?"

I love it when my dear hubby spends his time with Ben, despite his busy, busy, and very busy schedule and that he had to go sleep later than usual to finish up his work so that Ben get to spend some quality time with him. And I get to have some time off to relax and rest (especially now that I'm expecting) and I really appreciate these sweet gestures from hubby.

So here's my submissions for the day:

Picture below showing Ben wearing this gift box (he thinks it's his helmet and always called it 'helm') while riding on his pretend motorbike made out of Mega Bloks toy by daddy who had been forced to wear the mini size cap (meant for Ben) cos Ben thinks daddy deserves to wear a 'helm' too since he's wearing one!

Picture below showing hubby teaching Ben how to press the water spray and how excited and curious Ben was at the sight of the water jetting out from the spray. I get about an hour of 'me' time just relaxing and sitting there watching them play at the balcony.

And why I love these moments the most?

Just look at Ben's happy face when he gets to play with daddy!

It's Right In Front of Him!

This was such an exciting day for us!

Check out how fixated Ben was at this exciting sight!

Tractors

Yeap...my dear boy was busy gazing at the tractor right in front of our house.

There's this tractor which cut down the overgrown branches of the trees in front of our row of houses.

And this day happens to be our turn!

Tractors

Ben loves tractors and cars at the moment.

He was so excited that he took his own tractor out and started playing with it in the balcony, while occassionally stealing glances at the real thing which is right in front of him!

Tractors

Of course, my dear boy was puzzled why his tractor is unlike the real one in front of him which can actually hold a person in this small little enclosure.

We spent about half an hour or so at the balcony (I was just snapping these pictures away...) until it started drizzling and the crews had to stop their work.

Tractors

Ben posed in front of the real thing!

(okay, this is as close as he's allowed to...Tongue out )

Tractors

What a fun and exciting day!
